Coaches: Sheila Wilson
Sheila Wilson has been riding all her life and showing since she was six, winning championships of various divisions and entire horse shows - with over one hundred firsts! Although busy as a part-time pharmacist, Sheila makes time to teach dedicated students who want to reach higher levels of riding. She is bringing horses up in dressage and jumping. Her efforts in her first show year of dressage were rewarded with 8 championships, including overall highpoint rider. Sheila is experienced with saddle-fitting horses and training riders in strong equine back development - a must for successful and ongoing collection!
Sheila loves to train a horse to want to perform for the rider - not to have to perform! Bottom line, Sheila's focus is on training riders to discipline themselves. She concentrates on fundamental, classical principles of riding, which involves dressage integrated with gymnastics, allowing the horse to gain condition for soundness throughout its career, while carrying the rider in harmony. Sheila's students benefit from a team approach of teaching with Chris Collins and hosting specialised clinics with other trainers including Hendrik Gaebel from Germany. She has brought up all her horses and shares their successful abilities by leasing to upcoming riders.
Sheila is excited to train and show FEI her newest addition, Dancing Fantasy, a Hanovarian mare imported from Germany and out of Don Frederico.
